“Para vivir en Cuba …” / “ To Live in Cuba …”

The Cuban Art Space / Center for Cuban Studies is pleased to display the group show “Para vivir en Cuba . . .” / “ To Live in Cuba . . .” . To live in Cuba as an artist is to live a life full of contradictions. This exhibit looks at these inconsistencies both in daily life and in the mind of the artist. The works are on paper, on canvas, and made of found objects. They range from the self-taught to the academic and from representational to abstract.

Featured artists include: Jacqueline Brito, Yamilys Brito, Alberto Casado, Osvaldo Castilla, Luis Alberto Copperi, Sandra Dooley, Juan Karlos Echevarría, Guillermo Estrada-Viera, José Fuster, Joel Jover, Alejandro Lazo, Alberto Lescay, the Mella Collectives, Bernardo Navarro, Mabel Poblet, Carlos César Roman, Nestor Vega, and Camilo Villalvilla
