GETTING TO THE ARCHWAY

The Archway Under the Manhattan Bridge is a public plaza in DUMBO, Brooklyn. It’s on Water St between Anchorage Place and Adams St.

MORE DETAILS

THE BAND. An early jazz, swing, and blues band, the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn—composed of acoustic guitar/vocals, upright bass, homemade washboard percussion, trumpet and saxophone—blends a repertoire of witty songs from the 1920s and 30s, New Orleans and Dixieland, classic Blues, R&B and Western Swing together with original tunes and four-part vocal harmony.

THE GALLERY. Every Live at the Archway, Tfnf’s The Space Station pops up in the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge  Brainchild of artist Nathan Sinai Rayman and with a footprint of only 32 square feet, Tfnf’s The Space Station replicates (in flat pack, modular, franchisable form) his DUMBO gallery This Friday or Next Friday – “likely the tiniest, most inconsequential gallery in NYC, maybe on the face of the Earth”. Each week, we present an exhibition featuring a DUMBO-based artist and invite the public to create a collaborative piece with the artist over the course of the evening.
