Archeology of a Studio is a collection of sculptures, prints, and drawings by Ann Pachner that unfold over a period of five decades, with each work standing in for a particular moment of time. Pachner views the works like shells strewn along the beach or the leavings of distant sparks, expressions of the push/pull dynamic of trying to capture the vital energy of studio practice within the context of a retrospective.
