United Photo Industries

United Photo Industries is a Brooklyn-born, art-presenting cooperative dedicated to championing new directions in photography, by identifying, harnessing, and conjuring unexpected exhibition opportunities. In addition to the gallery space in DUMBO, UPI produces site-specific photographic public art in the streets of New York City, and all around the United States, in projects like the popular FENCE series, exhibitions on East River Ferry vessels and the free community Photo Festival PHOTOVILLE in Brooklyn Bridge Park. UPI strives to expose fresh talent and connect a diverse audience through photography, and their international network of curatorial partners allows them to help emerging photographers infiltrate foreign markets.
