Bar

At Time Out, we cover the New York bar scene with as much scrutiny and passion as we do our restaurants. That’s because we know that a truly spectacular watering hole is a rare and treasured thing. We invited three such treasures to Time Out Market, where they’ll showcase the best of New York’s cocktail culture. Working with our 2018 Time Out Bar Award winners—Ignacio “Nacho” Jimenez from Ghost Donkey and Takuma Watanabe from Angel’s Share—as well as Brooklyn Brewery, we created a kickass menu of signature cocktails and brewskis made just for our market and served at all three bars.

Lil’ Loco Jimenez’s drink—Dorothy Parker gin, Kümmel liqueur, tomatillo-serrano sherbet, lime and celery—has the same high energy that sent us flying at his celebrated tequila and mezcal bar near the Bowery, Ghost Donkey.

See-Saw Like many of the cocktails at Angel’s Share, this one’s name references to jazz (in this case, a cut by the Bill Evans Trio). Watanabe’s blended beauty is prepared with Brooklyn Gin, shiso syrup, lime and club soda, and flaunts the Japanese-inspired speakeasy’s suave confidence.

Paloma ’63 Brooklyn Brewery is in the house! The suds staple’s Bel Air Sour beer is the star of this tequila-infused sipper.
