With (Legally Binding) Love from Docracy
DUMBO's newest start-up, Docracy, (one of the 20 Jay Incubator's first tenants) is using that sweet space between the heart and the brain to get the word out about their business this Valentines Day. They promise to take the fear out love. Maybe. At least it's a very clever marketing effort.
About Docracy: Docracy is an open source site designed to make legal documents more accessible for those of us without a law degree. Users can share and sign legal documents. The company, created by co-founders Matt Hall and John Watkinson, as started out at a TechCrunch hackathon in reaction to Matt and John's challenges in finding reasonable legal documents while they were running their previous business. Find out more here.
Docracy's Valentine's Deal: Valentine’s day has always been about romance and true love. Now, Docracy has finally added “legally defensible” and “court enforceable” to that list with the “Be My Valentine Lawyer’s Edition”. You can now show that your love is backed by the full jurisprudence of the United States Federal ESIGN act of 2000.
Things less than romantic for you this Valentine's Day? Docracy has you covered with Non-Disclosure Agreements, Power of Attorney forms, and Wills. All these forms and more can be found on their website.
