Preview 10 Proposals for the Future of Empire Stores
Last September, Brooklyn Bridge Park released a RFP for the adaptive reuse of the historic Empire Stores Warehouses, inviting developers to submit their ideas for transforming this late 19th-century Romanesque Revival building -- used for coffee bean storage during DUMBO's industrial heyday -- into a vibrant, 21st-century waterfront destination.
Full proposals from ten unnamed developers are now available on the Brooklyn Bridge Park website; select interior and exterior renderings from different proposals are below:
