MTA Bus Time™ Rolls Into to DUMBO

Traveling to DUMBO via the B25 or new Tech Triangle-friendly B67 bus route? Here's some great news that might help shave time from your commute.

MTA Bus Time will expand to all bus routes in Brooklyn and Queens starting March 9. This means you'll be able to check the location of buses via computer, smartphone, or text message.

“Removing the guesswork from the bus trip bus through real-time arrival information is exciting for me, and I look forward to seeing every bus in the City equipped with MTA Bus Time™.” said Darryl Irick, Senior Vice President for Buses for MTA New York City Transit and President of the MTA Bus Company in a press release.  “The implementation of MTA Bus Time™ is another way we’re improving the customers’ experience.”

Here are the three ways you can access MTA Bus Time:

  1. Click it involves visiting and entering either a bus route, intersection, street address, landmark, or bus stop code for bus locations.
  2. Text it involves sending a text message of either an intersection or street address to 511123. Information will be provided in either miles away or bus stops away depending on the proximity of a bus.
  3. Scan it involves scanning the QR code from the Guide-A-Ride schedule posted at bus stops and information about the buses approaching the stop you are standing in will appear will appear on your smartphone.
