We're working with the Dock Street School PTA to identify our neighbors with the most need, and to help distribute meals accordingly. Help us Call & Check In On Our Elderly Neighbors!
We are working with our friends at the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership to assemble a team to make wellness phone calls to isolated seniors and other vulnerable people living in our community.
We need 100 people to help us make regular phone calls to isolated vulnerable people. Callers will participate in training with experienced senior social workers and be given scripts to work from, with links to resources that can address issues they may encounter. Each team member will be asked to only call the number of people that makes sense for them. Every call helps!
Farragut & Fort Greene Fresh Pantry and Farragut Food Club
Food access was already a critical problem for many neighbors in Farragut, Whitman & Ingersoll Houses. The impacts of COVID-19 will only heighten the need for too many local families. The existing Farragut & Fort Greene Fresh Pantry and Farragut Food Club, which break down barriers to free or affordable and fresh food for public housing residents, will be stepping up efforts to meet the increased demand over the coming months and needs your support to make that happen.

The face shields cost $3.50 to produce. Help Pensa continue this work. Donate to their goFundme to offset the cost of manufacturing!
