Help our food insecure neighbors & medical heroes
If you can, please consider donating to one or more of these great causes.
Farragut & Fort Greene Fresh Pantry and Farragut Food Club
Food access was already a critical problem for many neighbors in Farragut, Whitman & Ingersoll Houses. The impacts of COVID-19 will only heighten the need for too many local families. The existing Farragut & Fort Greene Fresh Pantry and Farragut Food Club, which break down barriers to free or affordable and fresh food for public housing residents, will be stepping up efforts to meet the increased demand over the coming months and needs your support to make that happen.
City wide organizations
A number of non-profits are continuing or expanding their foodservice operations, offering door-to-door delivery of food to seniors or those with mobility issues. Below is a growing list of organizations looking for donations of money or volunteers to help them meet growing demand:
- Citymeals on Wheels
- City Harvest
- Rethink Food
- The Campaign Against Hunger
- Food Bank for New York City
- North Brooklyn Angels
You can also sign up to deliver groceries and other supplies to NYC's most vulnerable individuals through Invisible Hands.

Plus, they've set up a GoFundMe for their staff here.
