TunnelVision x IFP Film Week

This month, TunnelVision teams up with Film Week to bring you a full day of free activities in the Archway to kick off IFP Film Week! This month, TunnelVision is bringing Soul In The Horn out to DUMBO for an afternoon of horn-infused disco + soul + Latin + Afrobeats + Hip Hop + Brazilian grooves. Bring your dancing shoes — and a blanket! At 8pm, you’ll be treated to a free screening of the ‘80s classic Krush Groove thanks to IFP, Alamo Drafthouse and Rooftop Films.

ABOUT FILM WEEK

Taking place from September 17th –  22nd during IFP’s signature event, IFP Film Week, the Screen Forward Conference features public programming, panels, and the opportunity to meet with today’s most exciting independent filmmakers, content creators, and industry leaders. The Conference includes special appearances from Academy Award winner Laura Poitras (CITIZENFOUR), actress and activist Rose McGowan, Rebecca Hall and Antonio Campos (of the upcoming Christine), Ezra Edelman (O.J.: Made in America), Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld (High Maintenance), comedian and podcaster Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens), Roger Ross Williams (Life, Animated), Kirsten Johnson (Cameraperson), case studies of 2016 hits Weiner, The Fits, Hello, My Name is Doris, and The Witch, Refinery29 CCO Amy Emmerich in conversation with writer and comedian Jacqueline Novak, storytelling and technology pioneer Lance Weiler, Scenic VR CEO Gary Hustwit, META CEO Justin Bolognino, Jonathan Olinger and Hannah Roodman of HUMAN, Mighty Oak CEO Jessica Peterson, and much more!

In addition to Conference events, IFP Film Week will feature free public programming in and around the Made in NY Media Center, including: a screening of This Day Forward and StoryCorps shorts, hosted by IFP, POV, and Photoville at Photoville’s Beer Garden; Phi Centre’s VR Garden; IFP Screen Forward Lab and Film Lab Showcases at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 1; and IFP’s Future of Filmmaking at BRIC’s The Stoop.
