Live at the Archway: Oktoberfest
Join us for our second annual Live at the Archway: Oktoberfest, October 6 & 7, 2017.
Happening in the Archway Under the Manhattan Bridge!
The Archway Under the Manhattan Bridge is a public plaza in DUMBO, Brooklyn. It’s on Water St between Anchorage Place and Adams St.
FRIDAY 10/6: 5 – 10-pm
5:30-9:30 pm: The Polka Brothers, a four man band of hipster polka lovers perform a unique mix of classic polka favorites, covers of pop and rock songs with a polka spin, as well as original tune.
SATURDAY 10/7: 1 – 10pm
1 – 4pm: Arts & Crafts for kids + kidults with Creatively Wild
2 – 4pm: Street Beat Brass, a New Orleans inspired brass band, play traditional German, Polka, and Oompah hits.
5 – 9pm: Enjoy a high energy Oktoberfest performance complete with costumes, tubas, accordions, and more by MELINA and the Oompahs. Melina’s musical act is drawn from inspiration from the original Oktoberfest in Munich, where she was previously featured.
PLUS, here’s what’s happening throughout the weekend:
- A social media contest where YOU are invited to create your own German DUMBO Oktoberfest words with the hashtag #sprechensieDUMBO for the chance to win prizes.
- A pic-your-own-apples photo experience–think puffy-vests-and-plaid-scarves in the Archway!
- A festive menu of pretzels, brats, veggie brats and sauerkraut, served by the Lighthouse (all days), and other vendors to be announced.
- Bavarian beer in limited edition steins.
