Brooklyn Bridge Park – 99 Plymouth Street

BBP’s building at 99 Plymouth Street is meant to engage the community. It features a dedicated Community Room, public restrooms and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Environmental Education Center.

The Environmental Education Center enriches student fieldwork, as well as allowing classes, afterschool programs and public drop-in hours to be held year-round, rain or shine. Its 500-gallon display aquarium showcases fish collected from the East River during the Conservancy’s popular seining programs and contains a child-friendly touch tank. An interactive discovery station featuring a 9’ scale model of BBP provides an in-depth look at the Park’s ecology, history and sustainable design. Interactive exhibits and games introduce visitors to the Park’s salt marshes and oyster habitat, and provide hands-on opportunities to explore the physics of suspension bridges and water pressure.

99 Plymouth’s Community Room and entry gallery host rotating installations by local artists, including everything from original murals to multimedia exhibitions. Stop by to see what’s on view!
