30 Washington is a residential rental building with retail spaces including the iconic Smack Mellon Gallery. This building was owned and operated by Robert Gair and was converted to residential in 2012. It is owned by Two Trees Management.

About Smack Mellon 

Located in a singular 6,000 square foot gallery space, Smack Mellon’s mission is to nurture and support emerging, under-recognized mid-career and women artists in the creation and exhibition of new work. Through a fellowship program, the gallery also offers artists studio workspaces, and access to equipment and technical assistance for the realization of ambitious projects.
