About Art in General 

Art in General is a nonprofit organization that assists artists with the production and presentation of new work. It changes in response to the needs of artists and informs and engages the public about their work. It was founded in Lower Manhattan in 1981 and supports the production of new work by local and international artists primarily through its New Commissions Program and its International Collaborations program. Art in General also produces an annual symposium What Now? on critical and timely issues in artistic and curatorial practice.

About Cuper Cafe 

Cuper, located in the Made in NY Media Center by IFP, offers an appetizing and eclectic menu with influences from all over the world. Cuper is a perfect location to discuss project collaborations, or just to enjoy coffee, lunch, dinner, or an after-work drink. Cuper is operated by Portuguese restaurateur Jorge Neves, who was exposed to food and wine preparation at age 10 when he began working on his grandfather’s vineyard in Portugal. Designed by Sou Fujimoto, Usagi is a concept store that houses an art gallery, library, and cafe, all-in-one. The Gallery showcases the work of both local and global talent, providing a place of discovery for everyone. About A.I.R. Gallery 

Founded in 1972, A.I.R. Gallery is the first all-women artist-directed art gallery in the United States. “Artists came together because women didn’t have a place to exhibit their work,” explains Jacqueline Ferrante, a manager at the gallery, in an interview with the DUMBO BID. The name, A.I.R., stands for Artists in Residence, and comes from a habit that arose in 1970s SoHo, when artists put up signs on commercial spaces they were occupying to warn the fire department that artists were living there. About Recycle-a-Bicycle 

Recycle-A-Bicycle (RAB) is a community-based bike shop and 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that facilitates job training and environmental education. Through innovative programs such as Earn-A-Bike, Green Jobs Training Programs, High School Internships, Recycled Arts Workshops, Summer Youth Employment Program, and Kids Ride Club, RAB is dedicated to the health, development, stewardship, and empowerment of NYC youth. On average, RAB salvages 1,200 bicycles each year from the waste stream, diverting a total of 36,000 pounds of waste from NYC's landfills.
