The Inventor of the Internet is Coming to DUMBO!
Now this is something you won’t want to miss: former Vice President, Nobel Peace Prize winner and author Al Gore (who, during his time as a Congressman from Tennessee helped–economically and legislatively–foster the development of the technology responsible for what we now know as the internet) will be at Powerhouse Arena on Friday, March 8 to discusses his latest book, The Future: Six Drivers of Global Change.
Here’s how PowerHouse describes the book:
We are at the dawn of a “new future.” Ours is a time of revolutionary change that has no precedent in history. In the past, the future has always appeared before us as an extension of our paced evolution. But now we are suddenly racing toward it and it is remarkably complicated and different from anything we’ve seen before. With the same passion he brought to the challenge of climate change, and with his decades of experience on the front lines of global policy, Al Gore surveys our planet’s beclouded horizon and offers a sober, learned, and ultimately hopeful forecast.
