Reimagining America with Gus Speth & Juliet Schor
This Friday, November 8, Etsy will host noted authors, scholars, and environmental thought leaders Gus Speth and Juliet Schor for an evening of conversation that explores the theme of consumption and the opportunities we all have to define a new, more sustainable, and fulfilling American dream. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour followed by presentations by and a conversation with Speth and Schor.
“I am very excited to have Gus Speth and Juliet Schor at Etsy HQ on Friday, as I truly believe that if we are going to make any headway against the many social and ecological challenges facing us today, we need to address our patterns of consumption. This is especially true for those of us in commerce.” Says Matthew Stinchcomb, Etsy’s VP.
100% of proceeds from the evening will benefit the The Center for a New American Dream, a national nonprofit organization that helps Americans reduce and shift their consumption to improve quality of life, protect the environment, and promote social justice.
