Puppet Making and More at Etsy’s Brooklyn Craft Party

As part of its one-day global celebration of meeting and making on June 20, Etsy will host a Brooklyn Craft Party at the Tobacco Warehouse, just down the street from the firm’s HQ at 55 Washington. The event is free and open to the public and runs from 5-8pm.

With this year’s theme of Craft for Community, attendees can create hand-sewn puppets which will be donated to a variety of organizations serving children, including Baby Buggy, Children’s Aid Society and Room to Grow. Crafting pros from the Etsy staff and members of the EtsyNY Team will be on-site to offer hands-on help. In addition to puppet-making, the event will feature Etsy’s popular DIY photo booth, a raffle for new sellers and members, and food truck treats from purveyors like Coolhaus and Kimchi Taco.
