Photoville Opens Sept 10!

Our favorite fall photography festival returns on September 10-20. Watch Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 5 transform into a pop-up village built from shipping containers re-purposed into photography exhibition space.

This year’s PHOTOVILLE will host an exciting mix of photo exhibitions, outdoor photo installations, artist lectures, and professional development seminars! You can get a tintype portrait done by Penumbra, attend the amazing all day Professional Development workshops by Photo Shelter, vote for your favorite FENCE Photographer or just decide to wing it and see what takes your fancy as you wander through our 70 exhibitions and installations! Plus, back by popular demand, PHOTOVILLE is partnering with Brooklyn favorites Smorgasburg and Brooklyn Brewery to create an awesome space where you can eat, drink, and hang out with other photography lovers.

PHOTOVILLE opens on September 10 with Down and Dirty. Check out PHOTOVILLE’s website for the full event schedule.

Immersion and interactivity are at the heart of what makes PHOTOVILLE such a successful and popular event – it has become the largest annual photographic event in New York City, and among the most-attended photographic events nationwide. All exhibitions are free to the public so bring your friends and family. Even dogs are welcome at PHOTOVILLE!

PHOTOVILLE is produced by DUMBO-based United Photo Industries (the awesome team behind the neighborhood public art projects like THE FENCE(super)Heroes and Geolocations: DUMBO).
