Help Bring DUMBO’s Big Idea Week to SXSW

Local edudcational startup Flocabulary and the DUMBO Improvement District are in the running to present homegrown initiative Big Idea Week at SXSW next year. But they need your vote to make it a reality.

Here’s the pitch:

Imagine a classroom without walls, where students work with local entrepreneurs to develop ideas that solve real-world problems. This is Big Idea Week, a community-centered entrepreneurship program that teaches critical thinking and brings STEM concepts to life for elementary school students. Started in 2013 in Brooklyn, the program is a collaboration between the DUMBO Improvement District and Alex Rappaport, co-founder of edtech company, Flocabulary.
