Gallery: Pop-Up Museum for Queer History

The Pop-Up Museum for Queer History kicked off “On the (Queer Waterfront: Brooklyn Histories” with a block party in the Archway on October 5. The event featured music, performances, community tabling, workshops and walking tours. As organizer Hugh Ryan told the HuffPo in this  interview, “It is our hope that this show will contribute to an understanding of Brooklyn as a place with a queer past. We are not merely interlopers newly washed up on Park Slope’s shores, but queer communities and people have flourished in these neighborhoods for as long as queer identities have existed.”
