This month, our top pick is Staff Picks: Pumping up the Volume at A.I.R. Gallery (111 Front Street #228). Curated by Jacqueline Ferrante & JoAnne McFarland, this exhibition showcases the work of ten New York-based artists and reinvigorates the gallery’s longstanding commitment to championing women artists.

All First Thursday events are open to the public and free. Galleries and shops stay open late, making DUMBO a great after-work destination for art-seekers. Local bars and restaurants also get in on the action: check out neighborhood happy hour specials here. Plus, be sure to swing by the Archway — there’s a brand-new Lighthouse kiosk servin’ beer and wine ’til 10pm.
