DUMBO Voter Registration Drive Begins!
Not registered to vote? Moved and need to update your location? Make sure you’re all set to make your voice heard and cast your vote in your community. We’ll be here to help you register from Sept. 17th – 26th!
The DUMBO Improvement District will be holding a voter registration drive this month to register DUMBO community members and educate them on when, where, and how to vote this coming election season. The DUMBO Improvement District will have tables staffed by volunteers set up during the afternoon from 12 – 2pm at the following locations:
- 9/17: 45 Main Street Lobby
- 9/18: 45 Main Street Lobby
- 9/19 – 21: Pearl Street Triangle (Archway if it rains)
- 9/24: 55 Washington Street Lobby
- 9/25: 55 Washington Street Lobby
- 9/26: 55 Washington Street Lobby – UPDATED
Not a DUMBO resident? That’s fine! If you live in New York, we can still help you register to vote in your community.
For DUMBO residents, we have coordinated to be in a few of the residential buildings in the neighborhood and will also be set up in the Pearl Street Triangle (weather permitting–the rain plan is to be set up in the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge) on the evening of 9/26 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm, and of course residents are more than welcome at any of the above listed registration tables.
For more information on registering to vote, including where to vote, how to submit an absentee ballot, deadlines to register and more at the NYC Board of Elections website. Remember, even if you don’t have time to register to vote with us this week, no problem –the deadline for registering for the General Election is October 12th. If you can’t make it to any of these, please get in touch with us and we will be happy to help you out.
The drive will not be affiliated with any particular party or candidate. This is a community service – we are simplifying the registration process for our community members.
