DUMBO Hosts NYC Digital Roadmap Listening Session
Continuing towards the goal of being the world’s leading digital environment, the city is turning to you, the innovators. The Digital Roadmap plots long-term and short-term goals towards growing the city’s tech scene. Already a capital of media, finance and fashion, the Mayor’s office is looking to do everything it can to incubate Silicon Alley.
NYC Digital is hosting a meet up at the NYU-Poly DUMBO Incubator (20 Jay Street #312) on July 11 to collect and expand on development ideas. The event will include a presentation by the NYC Roadmap team, followed by group breakout sessions.
Released in 2012, the Digital Roadmap divides development initiatives into five categories: Access, Education, Open Government, Engagement and Industry. These are the initiatives that have brought you public wifi, NYC OpenData, Roosevelt Island and NYU Poly tech centers, and many other project aimed towards improving access to the city’s digital assets.
